Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The year of Spiritual Renewal and Wellbeing: In 2025, the Diocese of St Albans invites you to embark on a transformative Year of Spiritual Renewal and Wellbeing. This year-long journey is designed to help us lift our hearts and minds, inspired by the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. There, the risen Christ walks alongside two disciples in their confusion and doubt, listens to their concerns, and renews them in hope and love. This incident invites us to lift our eyes to God, embrace the renewing life of the Holy Spirit, and rediscover the joy of journeying with Christ. Details of events, resources, and activities planned for the year can be found at: https://year.stalbansdiocese.org/events. The site will continue to grow and develop as the year progresses. You can now start booking retreats, quiet days, and other opportunities. We are all welcome to participate in any way. Please check the website for self guided activities and group sessions to encourage spiritual renewal and wellbeing. Bishop Alan encourages us that as we prepare for the year ahead, we open the scriptures, break bread together, and seek the transformation that comes from journeying with the risen Christ. Together, may we lift our hearts and minds to God and embrace the hope and love of his presence. Lord Jesus, we look to you for our hope, joy, and peace. Give us the courage to do all that you ask of us.
Amen.
