Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
During this season of Lent, we might want to ask ourselves what it is that we long for and desire. In this second week of Lent, we are asked to think through how much trust it takes to have hope. How can we have hope, even when it’s tough? Even when we can’t make sense of what God is up to? We know that we can still have hope for a better tomorrow if we trust in God. The Lent study booklet – ‘Living Hope’ (A Lent Journey) offers us the opportunity to deepen our hope in God and be part of what God is doing to bring hope to the world. You can join the Lent Bible Study Group on Mondays at 2.00pm. For personal reading about ‘Living Hope’, information can be found on the Church of England’s website; https://www.churchofengland.org/faith-life/what-we-believe/lent-holy-week-and-easter/living-hope-lent-reflections
Lord, we thank you that you are worthy of our hope-filled trust. As we walk through this second week of Lent together, may your word remind us of your character and fuel our hope once more.
Rev. Jairo Nyaongo
